Saturday Update

Our young adults have worked so hard to finish the project and all of you would be very proud of their testimony on this island. Praise the Lord that several from our group were able to lead someone to Christ at 11:30pm last night at our youth rally!

A Great Team Of Workers!

We have finished the church! I am attempting to upload some pictures but the internet is a little sketchy tonight. Lighthouse Baptist Church has been daily uploading tons of pictures to their facebook page so feel free to check their site. We are having a great time and are looking forward to working on the house tomorrow.

Praise the Lord, we made it! We accomplised a good bit today. There is siding on about half of the church building and part of the house. We'll be at it again bright and early tomorrow. Good night for now!

Day 1

last post from the US!

We are all onboard our first flight heading to Nassau. This plane was delayed so pray we make our connecting flight to San Salvador. We will post some pictures soon. Thanks for your prayers.

We have all safely made it to the first airport and through security. Our plane is set to leave at 8:55. So far, so good!

Fort Lauderdale or bust

We have safely completed the first leg of our journey! We are checked into our hotel and will be getting up bright and early for our flights tomorrow. If you want to track our flights tomorrow, they are as follows: flight UP 202 - Fort Lauderdale to Nassau; UP 377 - Nassau to San Salvador. Pray for safety!

Our Mission, Dec. 26 - Jan. 2

The College and Career Ministry of Lakeside Baptist Church as well as a few leaders are planning to go San Salvador, Bahamas from December 26, 2011 - January 2, 2012. The purpose of this trip will be to help Pastor Gary Hanna of Lighthouse Baptist Church. They will be installing vinyl siding on the church as well as the Pastor's home. Please pray for the young people as they prepare to go. Pray for Grant Baxley, Brooke Faulkner, Jared Gfeller, Kaylee Gfeller, Kelsey Gfeller, Seth Gfeller, Adora Hawkins, Laura Karmin, Paula Karmin, Kenny Oates, Amanda Schmidt, Alex Shedd, Allyson Shedd, Caleb Shedd, Chris Stratton, and Jeremiah Thayer.
